ABOUT US
The Filipino String Teachers Association (FSTA) is a non-stock/non-profit organization founded in Metro Manila, Philippines. It aims to promote the highest standards in teaching and to enable the sharing of ideas among string teachers and players of all distinctions throughout the Philippines, and the Filipino strings community throughout the world. The group is comprised of individual teachers and performers of violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
FSTA CORE AIMS
- To advance the string teaching profession
- To support activities of professional string musicians
- To help and develop the God-given talents of young string musicians
- To advance the cause of Filipino composers and their works for the stringed instruments
- To create a community with a love for music
Activities supporting these aims take place regularly throughout the year at workshops and conferences throughout the Philippines and online.
