Soon, she will share her expertise in a masterclass mounted by the Filipino String Teachers Association, and in the concert, Felix, Gustav & Igor On Campus, where she performs with the UP Symphony Orchestra in one of the pillars of the violin repertoire: Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor. KayCee talks about these events, and her musical journey, on MAESTRO FILIPINO (Sat 1200, Sun 2400, Thu 2000). DZFE’s Daniel is the host.

Dr. Rodolfo Cornejo helped shape the musical landscape of the Philippines through his dedication to composing, conducting, arranging, and educating.
His works for piano, voice, strings, and various chamber ensembles often drew inspiration from traditional Filipino music and culture. This enabled him not only to promote and preserve the country's musical identity, but also to instill a sense of pride and awareness of musical heritage among Filipinos.
Last 2023, the Filipino String Teachers Association partnered with the heirs of Rodolfo Cornejo to create recordings of his works and to file copies of his sheet music at the National Library. Together, we hope to preserve his legacy and continue to make his music available for the generations to come.
